About Loping Crow Distillery
Tucked away on a family farm in Albemarle, North Carolina, Loping Crow Distillery is more than just a place to enjoy handcrafted spirits. It’s a family-owned destination built on over 100 years of history, Southern hospitality, and a little bootlegging heritage. Recognized as Stanly County’s first distillery, Loping Crow is operated by a family whose roots run five generations deep, with master distiller Tony Dennis carrying on recipes and traditions passed down through the years. From small-batch bourbon and whiskey to vodka, brandy, and specialty cocktails, everything reflects the family’s dedication to craftsmanship. With its rustic barn, open farmland, live entertainment, and welcoming atmosphere, Loping Crow has become a gathering place where friends, families, and visitors can relax and make memories. It’s the kind of setting that makes a perfect home for the Still Runs Harvest Hootenanny, bringing together local history, great people, and Carolina car culture.

This time around, there’s plenty happening beyond the parking lot. Poohbilt Customs will bring motorcycle games to the festivities, giving riders an opportunity to showcase their skills while keeping the crowd entertained. Live music will also be a major part of the afternoon, with performances from Jack Burns and headliner The Bluestone. Attendees can explore vendors, enjoy distillery tastings and drink specials, and check out the awards presented throughout the event. And apparently, the Still Runs crew has something else up their sleeves. Organizers are teasing a special surprise that they say will leave attendees with their jaws dropping. Exactly what that means hasn’t been revealed, but it’s another reason to make the trip to Albemarle.
For Street Cars 101 Magazine, events like Still Runs represent what makes the Carolina automotive community special. It’s not always about having the most expensive build or taking home a trophy. Sometimes, it’s simply about pulling up with your favorite ride, catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people, and enjoying an afternoon surrounded by others who share the same passion.
Vehicle registration begins at 2 PM and costs $25 cash. Whether you’re bringing something to show off or just coming to enjoy the atmosphere, the Still Runs Harvest Hootenanny is shaping up to be a great way to spend a fall Saturday.
