Kimarie Johnson is a very special person to me in many ways. Like many of the friends in the car scene I have I can always call, text, and talk to her about anything. But our connection goes a little bit deeper. If it wasn’t for Kimarie and Tito Alvardo, Street Cars 101 Magazine would have never gone global. Back in 2021, Will of Will Talk ENT met Tito at Wilkesboro Dragway when we were learning to drag race our cars. Fast forward a couple weeks, and Tito introduces us to Kimarie. Kimarie then invites us to the Off Road Revolution event in Georgia, where we are introduced to owners Steve Eaton and Chad Whiteside. At this event, I must mention that we also met AK, owner of Chaos Motorsports; Stan of Shophotography; Jason, owner of Savage Rally; Epicotane, who was the cover for that issue; and Jody Otwell, who broke the record twice for the fastest TRX that we covered earlier this year.
During our stay and coverage of this event, Kimarie took me out on a drive side by side for the first time in my life. Yes, we did get lost for a while, but we had a very great conversation that created a long time friendship that I am blessed to have. Kimarie challenged me and challenged me hard; she was the first to push me to do a better job on the magazine. I admit she was on my ass; I was getting frustrated because I wasn’t used to it, but if she had not, I do not think the magazine would have made it this far. For that, I am so thankful and blessed by this mighty woman. With our magazine dealing nothing with cars, she introduced us to the truck world. Took Street Cars 101 Magazine global, and now the many relationships created from that day have created the success across the USA of this magazine. Again, without Kimarie giving me her blessing to network, we would have never become a global magazine. We would have only been in North and South Carolina. I owe Kimarie a lot, and more importantly, she has been one of our sponsors since the beginning. She believe in this magazine more than I did
