Ride 4 Rescues: A Day of Fun for Pets and Community

Statesville, North Carolina — When passion for pets and love for the open road came together, it created something truly special. Host Matt Wilder and Tilley Harley-Davidson invited the community to join Ride 4 Rescues, an event that blended engines, music, and purpose for a cause that mattered.

The day began at Iredell County Animal Services from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Attendees met adoptable pets, connected with shelter staff, and made donations to enter the show. It was an opportunity to support local animal welfare efforts and help keep pets with the families who loved them.

Iredell County Animal Services promotes responsible pet ownership, protects the public, and ensures fair, compassionate treatment for all. Along with enforcing animal control laws, the team focuses on education, positive outcomes, and special programs while continually improving services to best serve the community. After the morning stop, the ride continued to Tilley Harley-Davidson at 1226 Morland Drive in Statesville for a Car and Bike Show from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The afternoon was filled with great music, beautiful rides, and local flavor. Sean Mettler performed live, and guests enjoyed food and drinks from favorites such as Boondogglers Brewing and Homestead Hotdogs.

Drivers reserved spots in the VIP lot for $15, giving them a chance to show off their vehicles and be part of the excitement. All proceeds benefited the Iredell County Animal Services Community Pet Food Pantry, which helps local families care for their pets.

Custom handcrafted awards by C’s Engraving were presented at 4:00 p.m., celebrating standout cars, bikes, and trucks of every make and year. Spectators were welcome, and general parking was available for those not participating in the VIP area.

With two exciting stops, live entertainment, and a shared mission of compassion, Ride 4 Rescues was a memorable day for the entire community.
