Charlotte, North Carolina: BREAKING NEWS! We have exclusive highlights from the 5th Annual Cops, Cars & Kids event that took place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in east Charlotte! Founded by the Ferrari Club of America – North Carolina Chapter Steven Rosenberg in 2020, this year’s event was a resounding success, bringing together families, children, car enthusiasts, and law enforcement in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Starting at Foreign Cars Italia Charlotte, the NC Highway Patrol and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department shut down I-485 and South Blvd temporarily to make certain a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Something that was mind-blowing to witness in real time, which was to showcase a stunning array of exotic cars that captivated attendees of all ages. It was like movie!

We were blessed to meet upcoming photographer Sean Mahurin of Mahurin Photography, make sure y’all give him a follow! Nick (GT3 RS) and CJ (Lamborghini Huracan) have some beautiful rides.

Participants enjoyed a day filled with music, games, and delicious food while interacting with local law enforcement officers in a positive and friendly setting. Children and parents had the unique opportunity to explore a CMPD helicopter (did you know they can go 100-150mph), a SWAT tank aka Lenco BearCat (This is a well-known and widely used armored vehicle specifically designed for law enforcement, including SWAT teams). Lenco Armored Vehicles is a manufacturer of these vehicles), and fire trucks. All while building relationships with the individuals dedicated to keeping our community safe. The Tour DeLux Rally who we rode in with was a great addition this year, with 16 members participating and generously handing out over 400 Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars to the children. The smiles on their faces truly said it all!

We want to extend our gratitude to all volunteers, sponsors, and participants for making this event a memorable experience. Your support helps bridge the gap between our community and law enforcement, fostering understanding and respect. We look forward to seeing you next year for another day of fun, connection, and excitement at the 6th Annual Cops, Cars & Kids event! If you were able to see this event, what was your favorite exotic car you saw and your favorite part of the event? Ours were definitely watching kids faces light up when receiving hotwheels and matchbox cars, it’s part of how we became car enthusiast.
