Drag Racing with NMRA & NMCA All-Star Nationals at Rockingham

When you think about having a need for speed, this past weekend at Rockingham Dragway was the epitome of just that. If you blink, you missed it; if you don’t, you were treated to some of the best racing on the planet. The racecars were moving down the track so fast that it was almost impossible to comprehend.

There was a lot going on at the track during those four days outside of just racing. There was Bigfoot, the world’s largest monster truck, making an appearance. This truck is probably the most iconic monster truck ever built.

There were professional BMX riders and stunt performers doing thrilling and breathtaking tricks. With every trick and stunt, these riders really pushed the envelope. The crowd truly loved these gifted athletes.

Saturday was NMRA Mustang Day, which included the car show and 60 years of iconic Ford Mustangs. NC Stangs was the host group for this event. What would Mustang Day be without a lot of Mustang racing? There were prizes given in so many different categories. It was interesting to see every era of the iconic Pony car. Ford continues to give Mustang enthusiasts new and creative innovations for older fans and all those who will become enthusiastic about the car in the future.

Chevy, Ford, and Mopar vehicles battled it out for brand supremacy in the Holly EFI Factory Super Cars class this past weekend during the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals Powered by Sipple’s speed and performance.
