If you are in the uptown area of Charlotte, NC you should take time out and visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame, even if you are not a race fan. The interactive experience is worth the trip by itself. A great experience is to be had by both adults and children.

This event space has so many interesting things for the patrons that come to see what it is all about. From the interactive race simulators, to all of the memorabilia and so much more. You can learn the history of NASCAR and all of the drivers, crews and all people that have made NASCAR what it is today.

When you see the Glory Road display of cars and trucks you can hear the roar of the engines and the sounds of the crowds in your head and imagine that you were there at any given track. NASCAR has races in many different tracks around the country, so there are many different people get to see races.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame has a lot of memorabilia, helmets, race suits, lots of photos, news clippings, race simulators that allow patrons to get into the simulators and race against others patrons. You can watch movies about the owners, the drivers, and the many pioneers of NASCAR racing.

I grew up watching the likes of Richard “The King” Petty, Cale Yarborough, Benny Parsons, Donnie Allison and so many more who helped make NASCAR what it is today. Those guys are racing royalty and true legends of the sport.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame can be a learning experience, especially for those that have more than a passing interest in the sport. There is so much information to consume, that when you leave you have a great feeling about the sport. While at the museum, you cannot help but think about those iconic race tracks and races. Daytona, Talladega, Charlotte, Darlington and the Daytona 500 being the most iconic race in NASCAR.

A great Saturday trip for an individual or for a whole family. There is something for everybody to do. In their gift shop there are all kinds of gifts to give or buy for yourself. The whole experience is such an exhilarating vibe that it leaves you excited when the day is over. Exiting the building leaves everyone with many memories to think and talk about with your friends and family.
Seventy-six years of racing history stacked into an amazing venue. So, take some time out and have a great time at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. I did and it was a very worthwhile day.
