
Nissan is coming to the marketplace with a vengeance in 2024, unleashing a beast in the Z Nismo. This is the seventh generation of Nissan’s iconic “Z” line of automobiles. Each generation of the “Z” car has brought something new and iconic to the table. This version of the “Z” car is breathtaking to look at, and even more exhilarating to drive.
The Z Nismo is no different than its predecessors. All new design features that are unique to the Z Nismo. Starting from the bottom up, the 19-inch Rays wheels—even the tires—are grippier than the signature red stripe on the body. All of the 2024 Z Nismo’s design details pay homage to those that came before it.
There has been a lot of fine tuning done on this car. There was also a lot of track time to make sure that the Z Nismo would get every ounce of performance that the engineering team could get out of it. From the engine to the suspension, handling and all of the little things that have been staples of the Z-line of automobiles,.
Nissan improved on the suspension, making it stiffer for better handling on the road and on the track. The suspension was tuned to be able to go faster on the race track. They used 19-inch Dunlop® SP SPORT MAXX GT600 tires, front and rear. The tires on the rear are a half-inch wider than the front set to give the car better traction.
The Z Nismo engine is a marvel in itself, boasting a 3-liter twin turbo V-6 with 420 HP and 384 lbs of torque. It also has additional cooling capacity handled through a sub-radiator. There is an independent ignition control. To give the Nismo added performance, it has a sport plus mode that is specific to only the Nismo and gives it 50% crisper shifting. Once you drive this beast, you will not want to get out. Especially if you are on the race track.
With all of the engine enhancements, you still have to stop this beast. To do so, Nissan gave the Nismo a braking system that is specific to the car itself. The Z Performance has 14-inch rotors, and the 15-inch rotors are specific to the Z Nismo. The Akebono Braking System is also specific to the Z Nismo. Slowing this beast will be no problem with these fine enhancements.
The new design cues both inside and out give the Z Nismo a signature look for 2024. Nissan has released a beast. The grand nose of the car is a little longer, which reminds you of the Nissan 240 Z. The exclusive red striping cues around the car, both inside and out,. The steering wheel got a new red stripe, the Recaro seats give the driver a great racing feel, and the interior has an awesome look. The ignition button is in red, as is the drive-mode switch. The instrument cluster stays with the red Z Nismo theme. This beast is so worthy of carrying on in the seventh generation of the Z line. Neither the daily driver nor the race driver will be disappointed.
