The first-ever eAWD Corvette E-Ray uses an advanced electrified propulsion system in addition to its 6.2L LT2 Small Block V-8, enabling all-season performance and composure—and 0–60 mph in 2.5 seconds.

When Chevrolet introduced the first-ever Corvette, nobody knew the future impact that it would have on future generations. It changed the way that buyers looked at car sales. The Corvette was very elementary compared to the Corvettes of today. The original came with two options: 101A Heater for $91.40 and option 102A AM Radio for $145.15. Since the first version of the Corvette, there have been so many innovations and pushes in the sports car industry. More horsepower, bigger engines, speed, speed and more speed.
Seven decades of greatness. 2024 brings in this 70th birthday with an electrified eAWD Corvette E-Ray that is capable of 0–60 mph in 2.5 seconds. This E-Ray is equipped with advanced electrified propulsion to go along with its 6.2L LT2 small block V-8 engine that puts out 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque to the rear axle. The electric motor gives the E-Ray an additional 160 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels through a 1.9 kWh battery pack that is set between the seats. When you look at both power plants, the E-Ray gives you 655 horsepower. The E-Ray comes in removable roof coupe hardtop and hardtop convertible models. This is the start of what the Corvette can be in the future.
The E-Ray is the quickest production Corvette in the car’s history. It can run the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds. This is not your grandfather’s Corvette. The E-Ray is another whole breed. From a design aspect, she is pleasing to the eye and it gives the driver a match of confidence, performance and sophistication that breeds a whole new group of drivers and enthusiasts in the American sports car scene. This Corvette is a driving experience that runs as well on winding back roads as it does on a track. The E-Ray provides a stimulating ride like no other.
The E-Ray’s eAWD system constantly adapts to the road and conditions to give the driver the best ride while maintaining the car’s road stability. The E-Ray’s battery system does not need to be plugged into a power outlet. The battery is charged by regenerating energy from braking the car and coasting during normal everyday driving.

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray’s electrified propulsion system provides exhilarating acceleration to power out of corners and effortlessly complete passing maneuvers. It can also provide limited all-electric propulsion at the driver’s discretion upon startup.
E-Ray’s standard Active Fuel Management system uses the electric motor to extend 4-cylinder operation in various driving scenarios.
The amount of electric assist is tailored within each of the Corvette E-Ray’s six driver-selectable modes: Tour, Sport, Track, Weather, My Mode and Z-Mode. Drivers can also select the Charge+ feature, which maximizes the battery’s state of charge.
E-Ray Performance App on the infotainment system provides the driver with technical insights into how the propulsion system is operating. There are three primary display layouts:
Gauges (displays dynamic power output from electric motor and V-8 engine)
Dyno (provides graph of power or torque across selectable time intervals)
Data (showcases electrical system performance and efficiency).
The Chevrolet Corvette has been a staple in America’s car scene since its inception in 1953. The 2024 E-Ray Corvette is committed to pushing the envelope into the future and beyond.
